The Process for reproducing metal castings

• Laser scan an original Part

• Model the part in CAD

• Fix any damage or defects from the original part in the model

• Determine the casting process ( Investment or sand )

• 3D CAD model the mold

• Sand casting           -  3D print the pattern or directly to the molds  

• Investment casting  - make the wax patterns

• Have the parts cast
